FTEC

The First Term Enlisted Course (FTEC) provides a structured professional development program designed to transition Airmen from a training mindset to a mission-focused operational environment. FTEC reinforces lessons learned in Basic Military Training and technical training while preparing Airmen to actively support the Air Force mission.

The course also offers a unique opportunity for Airmen to further develop their warrior ethos and maintain an expeditionary mindset.

Attendance Requirements:All First Term Airmen are required to attend FTEC within 45 days of arriving at their first duty station. In addition, they must also complete the base-level Newcomer’s Orientation.

Airmen must be available for the entire week of the course. Appointments and other obligations must be scheduled outside of class hours, as students will not be permitted to leave once class begins. If an emergency arises, please notify us immediately—we will do our best to work with you.

A detailed welcome email with reporting instructions, map, and expectations will be sent out no later than one week prior to the course start date.
