Phil Gutmann has been an FRV member since 1993 and was a past FRV President for 10 years! He is the co-founder of the FRV Challunge on the Chain which is now in it’s 31st year! It is the longest running musky tournament in IL! Phil is also on the IMTT BOD and has been since 2017. He ran Muske 62 Guide Service from 1995-2009 and guided for Muskies on the Fox Chain as well as southern WI waters. Phil was also working with the IDNR biologist Joe Ferencak on a musky tagging program for 5 years on the Fox Chain. Phil is an amazing musky angler with 669 career releases with 14 of them being over 50”. Phil has spent over 30 years chasing muskies on Lake of the Woods. He was the lead instructor for Guides Choice Fishing School on LOTW for 5 seasons. Phil will be covering strategies and tactics on fishing LOTW. Phils experience on this body of water is 2nd to none! If you plan on fishing LOTW this year, this is a don’t miss meeting! Grab a friend and a notebook as Phil will be giving you some priceless information on how to fish this massive body of water successfully. Hope to see you all at the May 20th meeting. This will be our final meeting as we are off fishing in June, July & August so no club meetings will be held during that time! We will start up or club meetings once again on Wednesday September 16th!
