September in the Algarve has its own kind of light.
The tourists slowly disappear, the days soften, and the orchards begin to overflow with figs, almonds, pomegranates... and peaches glowing in the afternoon sun.
This September Shortie is a celebration of that abundance.
We’ll spend an unhurried afternoon observing, collecting, sketching and painting the colours, shapes and textures of late summer. Watercolour, mixed media and plenty of time to really look.
Not just painting fruit.

Setembro no Algarve tem uma luz muito própria.
Os turistas vão desaparecendo aos poucos, os dias são mais curtos e os pomares começam a transbordar de figos, amêndoas, romãs... e pêssegos a brilhar ao sol da tarde.
Este September Shortie é uma celebração dessa abundância.
Passaremos uma tarde tranquila a observar, recolher, esboçar e pintar as cores, formas e texturas do final do verão. Aguarela, técnica mista e muito tempo para observar com atenção.
Não se trata apenas de pintar fruta.
