Welcome to Summer Pruning at Orchard Mawr!

Learn all about summer pruning of apple or pear trees with Neil from Tyn y Berllan Fruit Tree Nursery.

In this one-day workshop, you’ll learn why we prune, how we prune and simple techniques for confidently pruning your own trees.

We'll look at dealing with disease and damage whilst encouraging the tree to fruit well. Alongside the theory, there will be lots of opportunities to practise on trees at Orchard Mawr, Haverfordwest.

Bring some gloves and warm clothes, your own lunch and secateurs if you have them (if not, some tools will be available on the day).,

This workshop is operating by donation; the suggested donation for the day is £25.

If this amount makes it inaccessible for you, please donate what you can- we want everyone to have the opportunity to attend.

The donations go directly towards running this community space and putting on events.

Please note there is no loo currently at the orchard.

The gate to Orchard Mawr is along Thomas Parry Way in Haverfordwest and is easily accessible on foot.

The easiest way to access Orchard Mawr is to park in town and walk along Thomas Parry Way, as there is no parking right by the orchard. The coordinates for the orchard are: 51.805815, -4.978837
