No snow? No problem! While there might not be snow on the ground, this event will still be packed with fun for all! Come experience the excitement of sled dog team demonstrations—on the grass!
Dog sledding without snow is known as 'dryland mushing,' a sport that’s rapidly gaining popularity, especially with our northern winters becoming milder in recent years. Much like traditional dog sledding on snow, dryland mushing involves working with dogs to pull a sled or other equipment. The primary difference is that instead of snow, dryland mushers use alternative rigs and vehicles.
Come meet the pack, learn all about sled dog training, and even get up close with some of the rescue’s lovable huskies!
