PumpkinFest Highlights:
• STEM Activity: Punkin’ Chunkin’ Catapult Building
Build and launch your own catapult with the Children’s Literature Centre in the Armstrong Insurance garage. Aim for a prize by launching your mini pumpkin 50 feet!
• Pumpkin Growing Contest
Show off your gardening skills with the Allegany County Master Gardeners. Categories include largest pumpkin, most unique, and decorated/carved pumpkins. The decorated category will feature three tiers: kids (up to grade 5), teens (grades 6-12), and adults (ages 18+). Drop off your pumpkins from 9-11 AM, with judging starting at noon.
• Mini Pumpkin Bowling
Kids can enjoy a round of pumpkin bowling with the Rise & Shine 4H Club in the Armstrong Insurance garage, perfect for younger children.
• Downtown Pumpkin Scavenger Hunt
Join the scavenger hunt throughout downtown Frostburg and uncover hidden surprises!
• Window Decorating Contest
Vote for your favorite window display among local businesses and help them win a special prize!
• Pumpkin Craft
Get creative at the Frostburg Library’s pumpkin craft session, perfect for families and children.
Simultaneous Cider Crawl:
While you enjoy PumpkinFest, take advantage of FrostburgFirst’s Annual Cider Crawl, which will also be taking place throughout the day. Sample a variety of harvest-themed treats, and explore Frostburg’s vibrant downtown area as part of this delightful tasting event.
