From Waste to Wonder Upcycling Workshop - Make a holiday snow globe
About this Event
Are you interested in living a more circular lifestyle, but not sure how to start with upcycling? We invite you to join us at Fuse 33, a membership-based maker-space, where you can get inspired with tips and tools on how to turn ordinary items you would normally discard into new valued items. The session will start with a tour of Fuse 33 where members will share projects they made using upcycled items and then we can get our creative juices flowing and work on an upcycled project to make your own holiday snow globe with guidance from one of our members. You will also receive info on how to become a Fuse 33 member to continue your upcycling journey.
We encourage you to bring your own materials to personalize your snow globe, including: a clean, clear plastic or glass container with a screw-on type lid, a waterproof item that will fit in the jar, a plastic soda bottle cap to prop up your item, glittery snowflakes or other items, chunky glitter, fabric, paint or ribbon to cover the lid. Organizers will also bring additional materials to complete the project and we encourage sharing among participants.
Please keep your RSVP updated, as space for this event is limited to 20 people max and we want to share this opportunity with those who have a keen interest in upcycling.
