About this Event
Are you considering opening a children's home?
There is no shortage of advice out there. Consultants promise to get you registered. Online courses offer quick answers. Social media is full of people who will tell you it is straightforward if you just follow their formula.
This seminar is different.
This is a full day of honest, practical guidance designed to give you everything you need to make an informed decision whether that means moving forward with confidence or walking away before you waste time and money on something that was never going to work.
There is no upsell. No packages to buy at the end. No pressure to sign up for consultancy support. Just straight talking information from someone with over 35 years in the sector who has seen what works, what does not and where people come unstuck.
You will leave knowing more than most people who have already started the process and if you have already started it is even more important you attend to enhance your knowledge.

Why this seminar is different
No hidden agenda. This is not a sales funnel for consultancy services. You will not be pitched to at the end of the day.
Nothing held back. You will receive the same information consultants charge thousands to share because you deserve to make an informed decision before you spend a penny on professional support.
Honest guidance. If your plans are not viable, you will hear it. If your location will not work, you will understand why. If you are not ready, you will know what you need to do first.
Practical and specific. This is not generic business advice dressed up as sector knowledge. It is real detail about how registration actually works, what Ofsted is really looking for, and where people genuinely come unstuck.
This seminar is for you if:
- You are considering opening your first children's home
- You are an investor exploring the children's residential care sector
- You are in the process of opening a children's home
- You are an experienced professional thinking about becoming a Responsible Individual or Registered Manager for a new home
- You have had advice elsewhere yet still do not feel you have the full picture
- You want honest, practical guidance with no sales pressure
This seminar is not for you if:
- You are looking for shortcuts or guarantees
- You believe the myths about easy profits and guaranteed occupancy
- You are not prepared to hear that your plans may need to change
- You want someone to tell you what you want to hear
About your facilitator
Angela Griffiths is a qualified social worker with over 35 years of experience in children's residential care. She has worked at every level from practitioner to Responsible Individual and now runs Childrens Homes Improvement Ltd, providing supervision, professional development and regulatory support to children's home managers across the United Kingdom.
Angela has supported numerous providers through the registration process and has seen first-hand what works, what does not, and where people come unstuck.
