From Venice with Love
About this Event
Join us at The Betsy for the opening of a monumental retrospective honoring master contemporary artist Edouard Duval-Carrié, presented in the wake of his acclaimed participation in the 61st Venice Biennale. Luminous and richly layered, Duval-Carrié’s work moves through migration, memory, and Vodou symbolism—offering a resonant reimagining of Caribbean narratives, and the histories that have too often been told without the Caribbean at the center.
The evening unfolds in The Betsy Gallery with an art opening and live jazz by the Simon Mogul Jazz Trio featuring Curtis Lundy—a soundtrack for a night of looking closely, listening deeply, and gathering in community.
