We invite you to journey FROM THEATRE TO THEATRE as we embark on a special series with Tennessee Performing Arts Center celebrating the blockbuster movies that made the leap from the big screen to the bright lights of Broadway. These iconic stories captured our hearts in theaters and have been reimagined for the stage with show-stopping songs, unforgettable performances, and all the magic of live theater. Whether you're reliving a favorite film or experiencing it in a whole new way, this series brings the best of both worlds to life. Don’t miss your chance to see these cinematic classics before they transform into must-see musicals all season long! Two musicians witness a mob hit and struggle to find a way out of the city before they are found by the gangsters. Their only opportunity is to join an all-girl band as they leave on a tour. To make their getaway they must first disguise themselves as women, then keep their identities secret and deal with the problems this brings - such as an attractive bandmate and a very determined suitor.
