A Book Launch & Conversation with Jack Montgomery
About this Event

Join us for an evening honoring memory, resilience, and community at the Maine Jewish Museum: Jack Montgomery — Maine lawyer turned photographer and the originator of our acclaimed Soul Survivors exhibition — will present his new book, From the Holocaust to Maine: Testimonies of the Survivors.

Through poignant portraits and firsthand narratives, this beautifully illustrated volume brings to light the lives of Holocaust survivors who rebuilt their lives in Maine.

The evening will include:

  • A presentation by Jack Montgomery on the genesis of Soul Survivors and the book’s journey
  • A moderated conversation (and audience Q&A) exploring themes of memory, legacy, and art
  • The opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book

A powerful opportunity to engage with stories that demand to be preserved, and to witness how art, empathy, and place intersect.

Registration is free but required.
