From the Ground Up | FREE EVENT 🌱Join us in the much-loved Mullum Gardens as we launch Mullumbimby’s newest community stage and platform the people and projects growing regenerative change locally in the Northern Rivers.
The evening will feature music and storytelling and will mark the first activation of the Lilypad Stage at the Mullum Gardens (home to the Mullum Community Gardens and seven other environmental initiatives), while celebrating this year’s Seed Giving Circle Award recipients.
🎶 What to expect on the evening
• Live music from local music legend Peter Hunt, Simon Jankelson (singer songwriter), Chris Kinzel (African Percussion) and others
• Stories from local regenerative initiatives including The Bundjalung Bush Food Alliance, Save Wallum and Local Address.
• Presentation of the Seed Giving Circle Awards
You’ll hear directly from initiatives supported through the latest Seed Giving Circle grant round, sharing what they’re working on and how community-led giving is helping their work take root:
- The Bundjalung Bush Food Alliance – a Bundjalung-led native bush food nursery creating training, employment and cultural renewal in Mullumbimby.
- Local Address – advancing regenerative regional building through low-carbon, locally sourced materials.
- Save Wallum – protecting the rare and culturally significant Wallum ecosystem in Brunswick Heads.
This is an informal, welcoming evening — a chance to connect, listen, celebrate and spend time together in the gardens.
