Thiel, a retired educator with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, was the state’s first wolf biologist and served as coordinator of the Sandhill Outdoor Skills Education Center at Sandhill Wildlife Area from 1990 to 2011. His presentation examines Grange’s career and the evolution of wildlife management in Wisconsin.
This event is part of the Voices of Conservation in Wisconsin’s History Spring Seminar Series, hosted by the Wisconsin Center for Wildlife. The series highlights influential figures and ideas that have shaped conservation in Wisconsin and beyond. All events are free and open to the public and live-streamed on CNR's YouTube Channel.
