Join us for a guided winter hike that blends reflection, education, and advocacy as we explore the story of a logged forest. This experience will deepen your connection to the land, foster an understanding of its challenges, and inspire meaningful action.

What to Expect:

  • Grounding in Nature: Begin with a mindfulness practice to center yourself and attune to the land’s energy.
  • Land History: Learn about the park’s rich history, its ecological significance, and the impacts of recent logging activity.
  • Interactive Walk: Discover key areas of the forest, from logged spaces to thriving biodiversity pockets, through guided discussion and hands-on connection.
  • Heart-Centered Reflection: Participate in journaling and gratitude practices to honor the resilience of the land and your personal relationship with nature.
  • Empowered Advocacy: Gain knowledge of sustainable forestry practices and actionable ways to support local conservation efforts.

This hike is for anyone who loves nature and wants to foster a deeper relationship with the earth while learning how to make a positive impact.

What to Bring:

  • Clothing and footwear for snow and cold
  • A journal and pen (optional but encouraged)
  • A small sitting pad 
  • Water and a light snack
  • No furry friends for this one please
