From Struggle to Strength, an International Women's Day event

On International Women’s Day, 8 March, Lewes Active Peace Group, with support from We Are The Tree, will host a participatory workshop at The Studio, The Depot, exploring the impact of struggle and war on women, and how resilience can be nurtured to build a lasting culture of peace.

The event will also feature an exhibition of art and poems, offering creative reflections on survival, strength and hope.

Participants will be invited to take home a peace lily to nurture, with the intention of bringing it back for a shared moment of reflection at a follow-up gathering on 20 September, marking International Peace Day.
