From St Paul's to Big Ben - a Riverside walk, starting at Temple Bar.
About this Event
Join our summer evening stroll - led by official City of London and City of Westminster tour guide Marc Gardiner - along the River Thames from St Paul’s Cathedral to the Palace of Westminster. Starting from the historic Temple Bar, we will cross the Millenium Bridge, enjoying a striking view of the City of London skyline and learning about 2000 years of London’s history. Following the Thames westwards, we will see and hear about iconic South Bank structures such as the Tate Modern, National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall, and London Eye. Crossing Westminster Bridge to finish in Parliament Square, we will learn about the Palace of Westminster (including Big Ben), Westminster Abbey, and nearby Whitehall.
Timings:
17:15 – Meet your Guide beneath historic Temple Bar arch adjacent to St Paul’s Cathedral.
17:30-19:30: Our riverside walk (approx. 2.5 miles, covering many of the major sights).
19:30: Finish in Parliament Square.
