Expert Guidance:
Winona Dorris is a business skills consultant and trainer who works with farmers, ranchers, and fisheries. She leads training on accounting, taxation, insurance, and cash flow at both the state and national level. She comes to agriculture through familial ties from her great uncle, who manually dug and operated the first black-owned catfish farm. The family lost and then recovered much of its farmland through a settlement of the Pigford class action lawsuit against the USDA. Winona holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting, an MBA, and a Graduate Masters Certificate in Taxation. She is also a certified registered tax preparer and a licensed insurance agent.

This event is a partnership between the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District (IERCD) and Los Angeles Food Policy Council (LAFPC). Together, we are excited to bring expert tax advising to growers throughout Southern California!
