Essential Knife Skills for Home Cooks
In this hands-on class, participants will learn how to safely hold and use a chef’s knife, practice essential cutting motions, and build the skills needed to prep fruits, vegetables, herbs, and more with ease. We’ll focus on simple techniques that make everyday cooking safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable. Whether you’re just getting started in the kitchen or looking to strengthen your basics, you’ll gain practical techniques that will improve your speed, precision, and confidence every time you cook.

Meet the Instructor:
Chef MikeC. was co-owner and executive chef of two highly successful home chef cooking schools in Berkeley CA, and has taught sold out classes in schools across the entire west coast. He is co-author of “Kitchen on Fire: Mastering the Art of Cooking in 12 Weeks (or less)”, was producer and star of the “Mastering the Art of Knife Skills” DVD, and chef/host of the final season of the long running PBS cooking show series “Organic Living with the Hippy Gourmet”.
