ABOUT KESHIA BUTLER
Keshia Butler is a Certified Financial Education Instructor who knows what it's like to scrape your knees financially and still muster up the strength to get back up. Growing up with little guidance on money, she stumbled through early adulthood living paycheck to paycheck, getting evicted, and drowning in debt. Determined to break free from that cycle, she dove into the industry of financial services at 20 years old, in order to gain hands-on experience as a personal banker, loan underwriter, and licensed insurance agent. By applying the job training to her own life, she was able to pay off her debt, buy her first home, and discover the financial confidence she once thought was out of reach.
Now, Keshia brings that journey full circle as the founder of Scraped Knee Finance, a financial education company built for underserved communities. She designs workshops and content that are transparent, relatable, and culturally grounded, helping people move from survival mode to stability with practical, behavior-focused guidance. Today, she’s here to show you how to learn from the missteps, take control of your money, and hit milestones you once thought were impossible.
