From Seed to Plate: PGC Food Systems Happy Hour
About this Event
The Prince George’s Community College, M-NCPPC Food System Planners, Soil Conservation District, and Bloomin’ PGC are teaming up to host the first From Seed to Plate: PGC Food Systems Happy Hour at the college’s Culinary Arts Center—and we’d love for you to be part of it! Please come in your most festive foodie or farmer duds! Seasonal refreshments will be prepared by the staff and students.
This gathering is all about bringing together people across the county's food system—from growers to food service and food assistance providers—to connect, share ideas, and build relationships.
The evening will include:
- Opening remarks and inspiration
- Networking, icebreakers, and prizes
- Mocktails
- Light refreshments, including a plant-forward menu with allergy-friendly options
- Self-guided tours of the Culinary Arts Center
- An opportunity to share your vision for PGC's food system
Questions? Contact Julian Gudger ([email protected]). If you would like to donate farm products for the menu, please contact Julian by July 18 to coordinate items. Your farm and/or food business will be listed on the program and Eventbrite page.
