His lecture will examine the country's growing economic, cultural, and geopolitical influence, highlighting key milestones such as the 2002 FIFA World Cup and the worldwide success of the Korean Wave (Hallyu).
Mr Kim will also reflect on the challenges that have accompanied Korea’s rapid development, including widening socioeconomic inequality, a declining birth rate, regional disparities, and the complexities of Northeast Asian geopolitics.
