From Neutral Mask to Clown - Soul made Visible
About this Event
Workshop 2 of our Summer Program:
From Neutral Mask to Clown
Soul Made Visible
This workshop explores masks as metaphors of inner soul life in all its different expressions, from its numinous glow to its unlived potential. Whether comical or tragic, psychological or poetic, they all invite us to dive into the mysteries of who we are, decide to be or wish to become through playful amplification of the best and worst we choose from the vast pool of human potential to live the life we live.
Using the different levels of imaginative play from the morning workshop as a point of departure, we will explore each day a different type of mask trying to bring them to life through improvisation, movement, voice, and the expressive arts.
This workshop is interesting for advanced practitioners with an already existing experience in masked play as well as for those practitioners who seek an initial experience before possibly deciding to explore specific masks of their interest in more detail.
