About this Event
Join artist Grace Gutierrez of the Los Fantasmas Artist Collective for a workshop that brings painting into an unexpected context: the classic lawn flamingo. Learn how and why Gutierrez has incorporated the lawn flamingo into her own work, while painting your own tacky little friend. Each participant will receive a primed flamingo ready to be transformed with color, pattern, and story. Through guided exercises in material exploration and storytelling, guests will paint their flamingos as vibrant reflections of personal identity, memory, and imagination.
This hands-on workshop invites participants to explore creativity in new ways, expanding how we think about painting, sculpture, and everyday objects. Once finished, each flamingo will be sealed with a protective topcoat, making it a lasting artwork for home or garden.
$5 Materials fee (All materials will be provided)
Ages 14-adult
