A bit about Dr. Lieberman:
Dr. Lieberman completed his residency in internal medicine at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee, then returned to Case Western Reserve where he completed fellowships in cardiology, electrophysiology, and pediatric electrophysiology. Dr. Lieberman is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Lieberman specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders (arrhythmias) and heart failure and has a special interest in the treatment of atrial fibrillation and heart failure.
He is an Editor for the Journal of Pacing and Electrophysiology (PACE) and Reviewer for numerous cardiac journals and has served on the scientific board for the International Dead Sea Symposium since 1992 and the board for the World Congress in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiac Techniques.
Dr. Lieberman is invited to chair sessions at the Heart Rhythm Society, American College of Cardiology, and American Heart Society. He is a world-recognized expert in cardiac ablation, Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs), Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT) and the precise placement of cardiac pacing electrodes within the heart.
A sought-after lecturer and educator, Dr. Lieberman travels the world teaching the latest cardiac pacemaker techniques. As a researcher, he has been the principal investigator for greater than 50 multicenter trials and helped develop new ablation techniques and technologies that are changing the way physicians treat arrhythmias and heart failure.
He is a consultant for ablation technologies, anti-arrhythmia and CHF drug therapies and cardiac devices. Dr. Lieberman has been awarded numerous grants, teaching awards and has been invited editorials for numerous journals as well publishing many studies, abstracts and book chapters. He has been involved with issues regarding the benefits and effects of placebo and the use of complementary and alternative medicine to treat patients.
Currently Dr. Lieberman is actively researching the link between inflammation: cardiovascular health and novel therapies.
