In my senior year, I found out I was pregnant. I was a straight-A student with dreams of becoming a biomedical chemist, yet I hid the pregnancy out of fear — fear of disappointing everyone, fear of losing my future, fear of being the “good girl” who messed up. And because no one had ever taught me about abstinence, life in the womb, or God’s view of children, the enemy whispered one terrible option: abortion.
I didn’t fully understand what abortion meant. I simply looked up a clinic in the phonebook, called, and the appointment was made — no questions, just “bring $200.” That’s all it took to attempt to end the lives of the children God had already formed inside me. I told my boyfriend, and he had the money. But that night, God intervened.
