From Dinosaurs to the Stars

Travel millions of years into Earth's past and then look up to discover the stars shining over us today! Join us at the Blake Planetarium for a prehistoric adventure followed by a journey through the late winter and early spring night sky.

Our feature presentation, Dinosaurs: A Story of Survival, follows Celeste, a young dinosaur enthusiast, as she prepares a presentation about the extinction of the dinosaurs. But when Moon, a wise and magical character, asks her a surprising question, what if there are still dinosaurs among us, Celeste is taken on an incredible journey through Earth's distant past.

Travel back millions of years to discover how dinosaurs transformed over time, from giant creatures and armored beasts to some of the most fearsome predators ever to walk the planet. Then witness the catastrophic impact event that caused a mass extinction and changed life on Earth forever. But Celeste soon discovers that the story doesn't end there. Follow her as she uncovers the surprising connection between the dinosaurs of the past and the animals living on Earth today.

After traveling through Earth's ancient history, turn your attention to the late winter and early spring night sky with Seasonal Stargazing. Discover some of the brightest stars and most recognizable constellations visible during this changing season. Learn how to find patterns in the sky, discover interesting star names and stories, and find out what's happening overhead as winter gives way to spring.

From prehistoric Earth to the stars above, this program is an opportunity for young explorers and their families to travel through time, discover amazing stories, and experience the wonder of science.

TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLINE ONLY. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR.

Please note that we are a ticketless venue. When you buy your ticket online, you are immediately added to our attendee list, so there is no need to print your ticket or present an e-ticket. You can simply check in with your name and a smile.
