From Declaration to Action: How to Make Change Happen
After 5 years of advocating for the Climate & Biodiversity Emergency, Interior Design Declares pledges have evolved and will be presented as part of a very exciting event during London Climate Action Week: How to Make Change Happen.
We will be holding a panel discussion chaired by Tiffanie Darke, Financial Times journalist which will include:
Luciana Berger - Baroness Berger - has long been committed to environmental causes, serving as Shadow Minister for Climate Change for three years, during which she championed the Green Investment Bank and pushed for a pro-environmental-business agenda. That passion has carried into her life beyond Parliament — she now chairs the Energy Storage Association UK and advises gs8, a leading regenerative UK housebuilder. Luciana will be joining Simone Suss - IDD Founder - to delve into the revised declarations and show us what actions we can adopt to make real change happen.
Delyth Fetherston-Dilke - Lawyer turned Upholsterer, turned Activist - To discuss the environmental impacts of Chemical Flame Retardants and how the IDD pledges can implement these to action. The Government consultation relating to the furniture and fire regulations closes on the 23rd June, the day after our talk so we are hoping to encourage responses ahead and on the day:
Humanscale - our host supporter - discussing chemical exposure within the industry and how they are managing / reducing the impact.
We will also provide light snacks and an opportunity for questions with all our guests.
Technology permitting we are aiming to record as much of the conversations as we can and also record the event photographically.
We are hoping to be in partnership with London Climate Action Week, so the event may be very busy so please book asap. Thank you
