For the next "Let Them Teach Me!" series, we are excited to welcome Olesya Melnichenko. Olesya is a Senior Applied Scientist at Microsoft Research. Before joining Microsoft, she held various roles in academia and Research & Development departments in the industry. Olesya holds MS in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University and PhD in Mathematics from Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. She will share her career journey, highlight several projects she has worked on, and provide insights into the day-to-day life of an applied scientist. She will also discuss the skills that are valued in this role. Olesya hopes to demonstrate how a background in math and technology, fueled by curiosity, can lead to a fulfilling career in R&D.π Thursday, December 12th 2024
