About this Event

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and NYC Climate Week, join Latinxs in Sustainability and CUNY alumni working across the climate and sustainability sectors for an engaging conversation about careers, leadership, and impact.

This special panel brings together Latino professionals who have built careers in sustainability in NYC—all with roots in the CUNY system.

Hear from CUNY alum Francisco Arias, Jesse Aman, Katia Lucuy, Nury Martinez, and Say Sanchez as they share their career journeys and perspectives from across the sustainability sector, including offshore wind, sustainable buildings, energy, urban sustainability, and environmental leadership.

Moderated by Cristina Garcia, founder of Latinxs in Sustainability and fellow CUNY alum, this discussion will explore emerging industry trends, lessons learned, career growth, and the many pathways available to students and professionals interested in climate work.

Whether you’re a student, recent graduate, or seasoned professional, this conversation offers an opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate the growing impact of CUNY alumni in the climate movement.

Cohosted by the Sustainability in the Urban Environment Graduate Programs at The City College of New York (CUNY) and CUNY @ Amazon.
