From Concrete to Cyberspace - Performance Lecture by Yunzhi Melissa Li
About this Event
In the 30-minute performance lecture, Melissa will explore how urban architecture from the 1990s and digital platforms from the 2000s meet identity formation and social needs in Georgia, while she navigates a built 3D world.
Yunzhi / Melissa Li is a Chengdu-born, London-based computational artist whose practice spans interactive installations, web-based experiments and immersive 3D environments. She examines how images, code, and audience interaction shape our sense of identity, memory and place.

Can We Start Again? is a computational arts festival and exhibition by Phreaking Collective, centred on a technospeculative examination of our digital ecosystem. Born out of distress towards the corporate and surveilled state of computation, the programme combines critical reflection with speculative and optimistic perspectives on digital culture, asking whether we're too far past the tipping point, whether we can correct course, or whether we can start again.
Spanning a physical exhibition, talks, and workshops, the programme explores digital ecology, AI, technological acceleration, and the social impact of emerging technologies — building a space to imagine an alternative future for computation, if we're ever given the chance.
