Two-time GRAMMY® Award winners Cathy Fink & Marcy Marxer join forces with renowned Chinese hammered dulcimer (yangqin) player Chao Tian for an extraordinary evening of music that crosses cultures and continents. Together they explore the resonances between Appalachian traditions and Chinese classical music, weaving in songs and sounds from around the world on banjos, ukulele, guitar, mandolin, dumbek, and yangqin.

The result is a concert that is both intimate and expansive where a Chinese lullaby meets Appalachian fiddle tunes, and melodies from around the world are reimagined. Audiences are drawn into a spellbinding journey that proves, as one presenter put it, “music knows no boundaries.”
