Critical Clarity: Mastering the Three Moves
Katie Trotter is the Chief Program Office for the Chapman Foundation for Caring Communities. She leads the design and development of leadership, culture, and community-building programs that serve organizations and communities across the country. Her work focuses on creating practical learning experiences and sustainable systems that help leaders communicate more effectively, build trust, navigate challenges, and strengthen workplace culture. Through this work, she helps organizations create environments where people can thrive and meaningful change can take root.
Katie is passionate about leadership development and has extensive experience in facilitation, execuitve coaching, and adult learning methodologies. She holds a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Program Policy and Administration.

Partnerships for Workforce Success
Cassandra Hernandez serves as Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education at North Central Michigan College, leading workforce training, employer-focused programming, lifelong learning, and regional partnerships. She brings more than 15 years of experience in workforce development, public service, public policy, and organizational leadership.
Before joining NCMC, Hernandez served eight years as a City Council Representative for the City of El Paso, Texas, along with leadership roles in workforce solutions and education and workforce development. She holds a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and is pursuing a Doctorate in Community College Leadership at Ferris State University.
She serves on the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is an Aspen Institute Hunt Fellow and recipient of the National League of Cities Centennial Under 40 Impact Award.
