From Bronx Streets to Nairobi Sun

**From Bronx Streets to Nairobi Sun** is a collaborative project that serves as a visual ode to our distinct cultural backgrounds and friendship.
We each document the places that shaped us, weaving together our individual experiences to create a photographic series that explores identity through two distinct cultural perspectives.
Drawing from our childhood family photographs, we reinterpret memories through fashion, styling, and set design rather than recreating them directly. By blending visual elements from Kenya and New York, including traditional leso fabrics and classic denim, the work examines how culture shapes identity.
