This year you can experience sounds from Belgium, France, Belarus and more uniting with the esoteric sounds of Merseyside.
Frogfest 2025 is an essential day out for the lovers of the alternative electronic music scene as the line up this year focuses heavily on danceable darkwave, post-punk and coldwave electronics.
This year Frogfest will be situated in the legendary venue District and still promises 12 hours of live music and DJs.
ULTRA SUNN - Hard-hitting Belgian EBM/coldwave duo formed in 2019, known for their pulsating beats, hypnotic synths, and energetic live performances. Their sound blends dark electronic textures with post-punk sensibilities, creating an immersive dancefloor experience.
Horror Vacui - Italian post-punk/deathrock outfit from Bologna, crafting intense, atmospheric soundscapes characterized by urgent rhythms, haunting vocals, and gothic undertones. Their music carries the torch of classic 80s post-punk while forging their own distinct identity.
Dlina Volny - Minsk-based synth-pop/coldwave trio combining dreamy electronic textures with melancholic vocals and post-punk influences. Their music features shimmering synthesizers, driving bass lines, and ethereal atmospheres, often drawing comparisons to both 80s new wave and contemporary darkwave.
Sad Madona - Sad Madona is on the Grauzone 2026 lineup, but why wait? French post-punk/coldwave act delivering emotional, atmospheric compositions with haunting vocals, shimmering guitars, and propulsive rhythms. Their sound evokes the melancholy of 80s post-punk while incorporating modern production sensibilities.
Liminal Project - Liverpool-based post-punk trio Liminal Project blends insistent bass, cascading guitar, and deep Francophone female vocals. They've toured the UK and EU, supporting notable acts (Lydia Lunch, VR Sex, Nuovo Testamento, Mareux etc). They return in 2025 with a new lineup and their long-awaited debut album of danceable, dark new wave.

The Empty Page - UK alternative rock trio known for their dynamic sound that blends elements of noise rock, post-punk, and indie. With powerful vocals, energetic performances, and thoughtful songwriting, they deliver both intensity and melody.
