Bic & Simone are returning to provide us with another opportunity to learn and enhance our Lindy Hop!We will also have a fantastic social dance in the evening, with a bar, and The Mailman, Bic & AndyAV8 on the decks. All are welcome and tickets for the social only are available. We look forward to a wonderful fun night with you all!
CLASS CONTENT:
Two of the most down-to-earth, welcoming and experienced teachers we know. They use exercises that focus on technique, connection and fluidity throughout the dance, along with shapes and sequences of Lindy Hop moves. Subjects covered will include stretch and compression and its relevance to frame, quality of footwork, pulse and flow, weight distribution and balance, as well as the difference between rotational and linear movement.
Regardless of your level of experience, you will certainly have the opportunity to hone your basics and enhance your dancing for yourself and your future dance partners.
Bic & Simone will guide you through their lessons with encouragement and support, leaving you feeling inspired and positive about your dancing (and with a huge smile on your face!).
There will be 4 classes on the Saturday, starting at 10:30am, and 2 final classes on Sunday morning. The aim is for the classes to progress so you can build on your knowledge and experience as the weekend goes on.
As with all Frisking events, this weekend is all about embracing the joy of music and dance and coming together in a safe and supportive environment to gain as much as we can from this experience. We are all on a continuous learning journey.
PLEASE NOTE:
We do need to create a balance between Lead & Follow roles, as best we can, in order for the classes to work effectively. So, we shall have a specific number of passes available for each role.
We shall rotate partners, if you feel comfortable doing so. If not, that's absolutely fine; we want you to be happy and comfortable.
CLASS VENUE:
The classes shall be held at the Uplands Community Centre in Carlton Colville, Lowestoft.
There is plenty of parking and it's on an easy direct bus route from the railway station (plan your journey here: https://www.firstbus.co.uk/norfolk-suffolk/routes-and-maps/coastal-reds-lowestoft-great-yarmouths-regular-local-links ), with the bus stop right outside the community centre.
If you have a campervan or motorhome, you are welcome to keep that in the car park. Note, there is no electric hook up or facilities. It's a very quiet residential area.
EVENING EVENT:
We shall return to the Community Centre for the evening social event (7.30 - 11.30pm), where DJs Bic, Andy AV8 and The Mailman will play some cracking RnB, Swing and some other great tunes to entertain you. Anyone who knows these DJs will appreciate the fun they bring to any event.
There will be a bar with a selection of very reasonably priced drinks.

If you are a solo Lead or Follow, please send a message and we can look into booking you on. This is to ensure there is a balance and so that nobody is left waiting for a turn in the class.
