Fringe Arts Wolverhampton - Parade Launch

Come join us on a magical light parade to launch Fringe Arts Wolverhampton by booking a ticket to become part of a magical walking mushroom forest. This in person event will be a night to remember, filled with light, fun, performances and festive activities.

Programme: timings TBC you will receive an email prior to the event 5 pm - Gather at Wolverhampton Art Gallery to pick up your mushroom, parade leaves and parades around the city centre with an approximate finish of 6pm. You will then be able to drop off your mushroom and go and explore the performances, showcases, art installtions, Christmas market and the Art Gallery Lates.

How can you get involved? The easiest way is to just turn up and take part in the parade - but please book a ticket if you want to carry a mini lit mushroom, you are very welcome to bring along any lights or lanterns you may have to add to the mix.

Q: Is there parking available for this event? A: There are various parking options available around town.

Q: do we have to book? A: Yes if you want to carry a mini lit mushroom.

Q: How long is the actual parade? A: The parade route is currently in the planning but should take no longer than an hour.

Q: Will there be refreshments available?A: There should be various establishments in the city centre open as well as the Christmas Market

Q: Is this a family friendly event?A: Yes this event is suitable for all ages and we aim to make the pace of the parade such that little legs can keep up where possible. Please consider bringing smaller children in pushchairs or slings etc.

Q: What should I wear to this event? A: We recommend sensible footwear and suitable layers for the weather on the day. Beyond that we encourage bright, festival style dress up with lots of lights where you can!
