A research team finds a mysterious cylinder in a deserted church. If opened, it could mean the end of the world. John Carpenter writes (as Martin Quatermass, in honour of the script's inspiration - British writer Nigel Kneale) and directs this classic 80s cosmic horror featuring a fantastic cast of genre cinema greats including Donald Pleasence (Halloween), Victor Wong, and Dennis Dun (both from Big Trouble And Little China) plus rock legend Alice Cooper.
Screening with an introduction from Fright Club programmer Adam Crowther and cult film historian Darrell Buxton.
