Join Friendzy for a Sunday morning in Solana Beach and Del Mar, starting with brunch at Rustic Root before we walk down the coast together to the annual Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon at Del Mar Dog Beach!
We'll start the morning around the table getting to know one another over brunch, then make our way to Dog Beach to watch some seriously talented pups catch waves, wipe out, and compete for surfing glory.
Check in will begin at 9:20am at Rustic Root, where we have a reservation set for 9:30. Once we're done with brunch, we'll walk together for ~15 minutes down the road to Del Mar Dog Beach and catch the latter part of the Surf Dog competition - around 11am. (Competition lasts from 8am-1pm.) Stay as long as you like.
Not ready to call it a day? Depending on interest, anyone who wants to keep the Sunday fun going can relocate to Viewpoint Brewing Co. afterward for an optional drink or bite.

A Very Important Note About Parking
Parking will be difficult. The Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon draws a crowd, and we're arriving after the competition has already begun.
Please plan accordingly and allow plenty of extra time to find legal parking and walk to Rustic Root.
⚠️ Do NOT plan to leave your car parked at Rustic Root during the Surf-A-Thon. We'll be walking from brunch to Dog Beach, so you'll need to find parking where your car can legally remain after brunch.
The Solana Beach Coaster station is also within walking distance of our meeting point, so taking the train may be an option depending on where you're coming from. Train information will be provided to attendees before the event.
Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) are another option.
Coming Solo?
Perfect. That's what Friendzy is for!
Most attendees come to Friendzy events on their own. The morning is intentionally structured so you'll meet everyone over brunch before we head to the beach together, which means you won't be showing up to a giant public event wondering who you're supposed to talk to.
Come alone. Leave with new friends.
Because this event is centered around the Surf Dog Surf-A-Thon, if the competition is canceled, the Friendzy event will also be canceled and you will be refunded.
🎟️ Tickets are refundable up to 3 days before the event. After that, tickets are nonrefundable, but you may transfer your ticket to another eligible attendee if you're no longer able to make it.
📝 A signed Friendzy waiver is required for all attendees. You'll receive the waiver link along with final event details prior to the event.
⏰ Please arrive on time! Our brunch reservation is at 9:30 AM, so plan to be checked in with Friendzy by 9:20 AM.
