Join the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee in celebration of 70 years of the sister city partnership and in commemoration of 80 years since the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. The Mayor of Nagasaki, Shiro Suzuki, is leading a delegation that includes 16 junior high students, city council members, and others. They will reflect on the last eighty years, mindful of the devastation of the atomic bombs, and the importance of peace.To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact [email protected].
This event is coordinated in partnership with the Saint Paul-Nagasaki Sister City Committee. Funding provided by the State of Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment, through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov. 4, 2008, and our generous donors and members.
This event is free and open to the public and registration is not required, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP. Tickets are not required for admission.
