Join us at the Scranton Area Community Foundation (Weinberg Auditorium) for our Friendsgiving Social Hour: Gather & Give! This event is all about bringing our local community together to celebrate connection, warmth, and the true spirit of Thanksgiving. ♥️
What to Expect:
• Board Game Library: We’ll have a huge collection of board games, from quick party games and icebreakers to classic strategy games and cozy conversation decks! Play with old friends or easily jump into a game table to meet new ones.
•BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft): Working on a holiday knitting project, crochet, adult coloring book, needlepoint, or scrapbooking? Bring it along! Crafting while chatting is the ultimate low-pressure way to hang out.
•Light Lunch & Refreshments: Enjoy a delicious light lunch spread, autumn treats, and drinks to keep you energized while you mingle and play!
•Give Back: In lieu of a traditional ticket fee, entry is granted by bringing 3 or more items from The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA’s wishlist.
Why We’re Giving Back?
This event holds a deeply personal place in our hearts. Last December, we lost Janice, my partner’s mom, after a short battle with cancer. Janice was an extraordinary woman who spent her life giving back to others.
The Cancer Wellness Center of NEPA provides vital, free support services to local individuals and families navigating cancer. Honoring Janice's memory by coming together to support this incredible organization is the ultimate way to celebrate Friendsgiving.
