Friends of Southview Cemetery Cleanup Day

Please join Friends of Southview Cemetery for our first organized volunteer cleanup day.
📍Meeting Location:
Southview Cemetery
Section C-5
📅 Friday, June 19, 2026
🕙 10:00 a.m.
Volunteers will be helping uncover and edge around overgrown flush markers (ground-level grave markers) and brush away loose dirt and debris.
Helpful items to bring:
• Something to edge with
• Gloves (optional)
• A small hand broom or soft-bristle brush
• Knee pads or a gardening kneeling pad (optional)
• A bucket for collecting overgrowth and scraps (optional)
• Water
Please wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
Park along the grass and please be mindful not to block roadways or access routes.
We expect to work for approximately two hours, though volunteers are welcome to stay longer or leave earlier as their schedules allow.
If possible, please RSVP so we have a general idea of attendance.
Finally, thank you all for your support. We look forward to seeing you there and working together to help restore visibility to these markers and honor the memories of those who may otherwise be forgotten. 🌿🪦
