About this Event
Adrian Hunsberger is an extension agent emerita with the University of Florida/IFAS.
She recently retired as the Urban Horticulture Agent at the Extension office in Miami-Dade County where she worked for 21 years.
She was also the resident entomologist.
Adrian holds a B.S. degree in Horticulture from Virginia Tech and a M.S. degree in Entomology from the University of Florida.
In addition, she has over 13 years of research experience at the University of Florida/IFAS using biological and organic pest control methods.As one of her Extension duties, Ms. Hunsberger was a columnist for the Miami Herald for 15 years.
Her widely read weekly Miami Herald column "The Plant Clinic" dealt with solving landscape and garden problems. Adrian also coordinated a volunteer corps of over 100 Master Gardeners who helped solve homeowner gardening problems. Adrian’s major interest is teaching the public how to manage pests sustainably, landscape water conservation, Florida Friendly landscape practices, school and community gardening, and edible gardening
