Fridays @ Morven

This Fall, Morven will be open on select Fridays from 1PM - 6PM for UVA students, faculty, and staff to enjoy access to our scenic gardens, winding trails, and tranquil indoor work and study spaces. Whether you're seeking a quiet corner to focus on coursework, a peaceful walk through the gardens, or simply a moment to recharge in nature, these open days offer a perfect retreat. Stroll along forested paths, admire the seasonal blooms, or bring a blanket and relax on the expansive lawns. Our indoor spaces provide comfortable seating, Wi-Fi access, and plenty of natural light—ideal for reading, writing, or collaborating with peers. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with nature, reflect, and find inspiration in Morven’s serene landscape—all while staying productive or simply unwinding.

Please Note: Fridays @ Morven Programming

Fridays @ Morven events differ from our Student Days offerings. When attending Friday events, please be aware that these programs do not include transportation services, structured program activities, or snack/food provisions that are typically part of our Student Days programming. One indoor facility will be available for each Friday @ Morven opening, this space will vary between the Meeting Barn and Main House based on our other events on site, please be mindful of other events taking place.

We encourage participants to plan accordingly and look forward to welcoming you to Morven for studying, relaxation, and nature-connection!

Guests must provide their own transportation to this event. Guests will check in at the Gatehouse upon arriving to receive directions for parking.

Morven does not permit pets on the property. Leashed service animals as defined by the ADA are permitted.
