Before the Emmy-winning TV series, there was the film that started it all. Based on the true story chronicled in H.G. Bissinger’s best-selling book, Friday Night Lights follows a high school football team in small-town Texas as they chase glory under immense pressure. Directed by Peter Berg and starring Billy Bob Thornton, this gripping drama captures the emotional highs and lows of life under the Friday night lights — both on and off the field.
