Intramural Open: Let’s Make it Even More Fun!This year, we’re hosting our 2nd Annual Intramural Open! We’ll split the gym into 3 teams, led by Coach Britt, Coach Marion, and Coach Mike. It’s all about bonding, team spirit, and supporting each other through the excitement of the Open.
The more people who sign up, the more fun it’s going to be! Plus, it’s a great way to support the gym and help us with equipment and maintenance fees. Here’s how you can rack up points for your team:
Team Points: +5 points for every teammate that signs up for the CrossFit Worldwide Open at games.crossfit.com. (This is in ADDITION to our gym intramural open)
Weekly Points:
Points will be awarded to the top 3 men/women in the following categories:
Rx
Scaled
Foundations
Masters 50+
Friday Night Lights:
+2 points per teammate for showing up to participate, judge, or spectate at Friday Night Lights.
Weekly Bonus Points:
We’ll have some fun challenges each week for bonus points! Here’s a sneak peek:
Week 1: Chili Cook-Off + Max Suitcase Dumbbell Hold (Total team time)
Week 2: CrossFit Word Search + Total team distance 10lb Plate Frisbee Throw
Week 3: Brain Teaser + Total Team Time for 100m SkiErg Sprint (faster the better)
2025 Intramural Open Schedule:
Here’s what you need to know about the key dates and events for the 2025 Intramural Open:
February 28th: Friday Night Lights Begins at 4:30 PM
Theme: Flashbang Spirit
Activities: Chili Cook-Off + CrossFit Flip Cup
March 7th: Friday Night Lights at 4:30 PM
Theme: 80’s Throwback
Activities: Potluck Style + Hula Hoop Contest
March 14th: Friday Night Lights at 4:30 PM
Theme: Red, White & Blue
Activities: BBQ + Nerf Gun Battle
Cost & Registration:
Intramural Open Cost: $25
Sign-up Deadline: February 21st
Prize: Everyone who registers for both the CrossFit Open and the Intramural Open will be entered into a raffle for a free month of membership!
Team Draft: Teams will be drafted on February 21st, so make sure you’re signed up by then to get in the mix!
