FRIDAY NIGHT FRIGHTS PRESENTS - 'THE FOG' - FRIDAY 28TH FEBRUARY - DOORS OPEN 7PM - FILM STARTS 8PM. John Carpenter and Debra Hill followed up their seminal, 1978 slasher, ‘Halloween’, with the atmospheric chiller, ‘The Fog’, in 1980. With a bigger budget and some familiar faces, audiences were treated to a classic ghost story, inspired partly by the horror writings of H.P Lovecraft.
Often overlooked, this movie possesses a beautifully creepy mood, Carpenter's fantastic, sombre score, and an opening scene – featuring a wonderfully weather-beaten John Houseman telling a ‘spooky story’ round a campfire – that’s worth the price of admission!
