Friday Night At The Movies invites you to…Summer Camp!For season four of our outdoor movie series, help us celebrate 100-years of The Loring Greenough House being saved from demolition by the all-women Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club in 1924, with an all-star line-up of high-camp films featuring all female or female presenting leads.
August 23 - JAWS
One of the most iconic on-screen villains of all time was a man-eating…female shark! Yes, our fifth leading lady is the Great White from Steven Spielberg’s infamous, Oscar-winning 1975 thriller based on the 1974 book by Peter Benchley. Shot primarily on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, the summer blockbuster stars Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody who, with the help of a marine biologist played by Richard Dreyfuss and a professional shark hunter played by Robert Shaw, attempt to end the hysteria caused by an Apex predator terrorizing a beach town.
