In this seven-week workshop series, Ujima invites us to explore African diasporic resistance and history through the art of movement in our "Choreographing Resistance: An Embodied Exploration of Dance, Healing & Music" workshop series.
This summer, we will celebrate our music and dance cultures such as House and Disco, Afrobeats, Soca, Ball Room, and more. Each free workshop will include a sharing of our histories followed by a dance session, to revel in a powerfully Black embodied learning experience. Join us this month to dance and learn from Lakeisha St Joy, Tarris “NuNu” Walker and London Saint Morta, and dana fitchett.
