Winnipeg’s newest crushers came out of the gate with a relentless blast of killer Hardcore Punk that left everyone with their jaw on the floor. With influence gleaned from Concealed Blade to Ripcord. These tracks are hot enough to burn off warts. This has been the fasting selling record on Neon Taste since Two Step To Hell. Repress due and happening shortly.

Speaking of warts, the forgotten sons of Manitoba are back since their last show-stealing performance at our last weekend. They were the talk of the town for months. Thuggish, brutish, smooth-brained cro-magnon stomp coated in booze and hard as a fucking rock. You know that Black Flag shirt for My War with the gibbled up hand giving you a middle finger? That’s actually Jug’s hand and that’s as straight as they can make it. Not too be missed. Debut album coming out January 2026!

Grotto
Calgary/Toronto start-ups featuring previous faces from The Chain, Sperm, Skin Colour and Flaccid. Proper, pissed Hardcore. No recordings as of yet but trust us on this one. Do not fuck around.
Garland Briggs
Calgary’s answer to the emo-violence revival is pitch perfect here. A true-blue love letter to 90’s Hardcore Punk that comes across as honest and vital as it did then. Calgary knows it well too as they’ve consistently been playing to packed out DIY spots and had their demo tape sell out in a single day with orders from all over North America.
