Friday Funday with MYS - China Towne in Springfield & Nichols Park Pool!
About this Event
Join Midwest Youth Services for a fun morning at China Towne in Springfield, IL, followed by lunch and swimming at the Nichols Park Pool in Jacksonville.
Youth need to be dropped off at Midwest Youth Services (2001 W. Lafayette in Jacksonville) at `7:45 am. West Central Mass Transit District will be providing transportation to China Towne.
At China Towne - Youth will be given the opportunity to pick out premade pottery/ceramincs to paint. Pottery will then be fired and ready the following week. MYS Staff will coordinate a time for you to collect the items at our office.
At 11 am youth will then be transported back to Jacksonville to Nichols Park Pool for lunch and swimming. Sunscreen and towels will be avilable. Please bring whatever additional water accessories you need, if desired. Youth are welcome to bring money for consessions.
Transportation will NOT be available following the pool to take youth home. Youth will need to be picked up at Nichols Park Pool at 3:30 pm.
*Registration/Sign up doesn't guarantee your spot. You will receive a personal phone call and email from Midwest Youth Services to confirm registration. Our goal with Friday Funday is to offer each youth a chance to attend summer programming. So, at times registration is not based on who signs up first, but who hasn't been provided the opportunity yet.
*Youth must local and be between the ages of 11 - 17.
*All summer events in the "Friday Funday with MYS" Series are chaperoned.
